- 7 or 8 Gauge Bodies And 1/4" or 5/16" Thick Doors
5/16" gauge doors for 7 gauge bodies and 1/4" gauge doors for 8 gauge bodies. Safes good enough to have high ratings in Tool Resistance (TL), also have the biggest gauge thickness. Because Sturdy uses nothing but thick steel, it can prevent a break in much longer than any 12 -10 gauge safe on the market, making our safes naturally more tool resistant. Unbendable 3" Deep Doors
Try as hard as you like, but Sturdy Safes doors wont flex like other cheap gun safes on the market. There is more welds holding the lock assembly to the door than any gun safe on the market to make it even sturdier. Click Here to see a video on why Sturdy Safes doors are so rugged. -
Exposed Door Hinges/ Removable Door
This makes the safe door removable, which makes it lighter to move. Unlike hidden hinges, exposed hinges allows the safe door to be accidentally slammed open, without damaging the hinges, as well as, open to a full 180 deg.
-
Hot Welding For More Strength
Hot welds mean deeper penetration. Other safe companies use a lot of cold welding to avoid diminishing the appearance of the safe. There are no skip welds in the bodies of Sturdy Safes. There are also more welds holding the lock assembly to the door than any gun safe on the market.
-
12 Bend Uni-Body Construction/ Quadra-Formed Door Seat With An Extra Bend
The wrap around body is a single piece of steel, completely formed with twelve 90 degree bends, making Sturdy Safes bodies even stronger and eliminates the need for vertical seams. The door seat has one more bend in it, (when comparing with all other safes on the market). It actually forms the body itself into a door seat, eliminating the need to create weak splices.
-
Fully Recessed Doors
The body design allows the door to be fully recessed, to guard against pry-bar attacks.
-
2 Shelves In The Doors Of Non-Fire Lined Safes
The shelves are 3" deep and as wide as the door it's self. They are perfect for storing ammo boxes, or other small items.

About Sturdy Safes Locking System
-
Eliminated All Unnecessary Moving/Breaking Parts
Sturdy Safe abolished the need for problematic clutches and shear pins designed to break within the safe. By doing so, we have eliminated the possibility of getting locked out if they somehow break by simple everyday usage or being a little abused. 80% less moving parts than all safes on the market. Less weak moving parts means less weak moving parts that potentially break. Click Here to see what bad linkage looks like.

-
Oversized Hardplate
Sturdy Safes' properly mounted hardplate protects against drilling, punching, or manipulating of the combo box, the main re-locker, and all the linkage parts. It's 1/4 inch thick, and 3" D x 5" W x 60-72" H. After it's formed into a channel, it's hardened all the way through at another company and then welded directly to the door. This adds to the stiffness of the door itself.
-
Deadbolt Clamping Action That Seals The Door Shut
Door clamps down as deadbolts engage to help seal the door shut. The deadbolts are designed in a way they wont accidentally lock the owner out if they forced the dead bolts to clamp down on something like a rag or a strap from a rifle. Click Here to see a video on how to test a safes clamping action and deadbolt support.
-
Fully Supported Deadbolts
Sturdy Safes' supported deadbolt housing helps guide and reinforce the 4 moving deadbolts to align properly no matter what's in the way. 8 strategically placed deadbolts total. 8 are more than enough to secure a safe door, so be leery of companies who boast of how thick, long, or how many deadbolts their safes have. Click here for more on deadbolt gimmicks and proof that 8 lugs are more than enough to secure a safe door.lick Here to see a video on how to test a safes clamping action and deadbolt support.

-
2 Independent Re-Locks
Sturdy Safes main relock will fire when it's needed (even if the cover of the combo box hasn't been broken off), and it never fires accidentally. It's also protected behind the hard plate. Once engaged, it's a very serious relock to disengage.
-
Strong Damage Resistant Linkage Connections
When compared to all other gun safes on the market, our linkage connections are 4 times bigger and stronger than they need to be. They are even stronger than the handle shaft it 'self, so years of abuse will not affect it. This body design allows the door's deadbolts to be slammed shut multiple times, while engaged (with the bolts sticking out) without leaving any marks on the outside surface or damaging the linkage. Click Here to see a video on how to test a safe for damage resistant linkage.
-
Sargent And Greenleaf Premium Grade Group II Combination
Sturdy Safe use a UL rated group 2 premium grade, commercial combination lock by S&G that most safe companies don't use. Model number "6730" It's key changeable, and easy to change to a new combo number. Combo box is mounted to the door first, and then, hard plate is slipped in between.

-
No Servicing Or Repairs Will Ever Be Required
Sturdy Safe linkage will never need to be serviced, nor will it break. We offer a lifetime warranty to back up this claim. Even in heavy safe usage atmospheres (like sheriff departments), with 20 or more openings a day, our safes have never had a single failure.
-
Combination Deadbolt Reinforcement
Sturdy does not rely on the strength of a pot metal combination box for the needed strength of the lock system. Instead, Sturdy Safe installs a combination deadbolt reinforcement, which strengthens the lock system to 18,000 pounds of resistance. This helps make the safe the most durable, abusive resistant safe on the market.
