I received my safe in April 2015. I spent months researching before I ordered my 28" safe with the fire liner option. Even though I live in Ohio and I knew that it would have to be shipped across the country, I decided on a Sturdy Safe. I didn't want to write a review until I had used my safe for awhile. So pretty much I have to say that after 5 years I LOVE my safe. The quality and steel thickness makes the safes that my buddies have look like jokes. The finish and operation hasn't changed since day one. Still great. I'm happier than ever for spending the extra money and buying a Sturdy safe. This thing is one awesome block of steel! Great job people of Sturdy. Keep up the good work.
800 pounds of US made steel arrived this week. Looks really heavy duty - seems that Sturdy offers the most heavy metal for your dollar. My model has the most popular option and optional door. Welding and craftsmanship is first class. The door adds another layer of defense. Could have got cheaper Chinese take your chances one but paid for Family-run American quality. Buy once cry once.
The company makes the experience easy and informative. American based Human answers the phone. Human has been in the business so long that said Human can answer all questions even highly technical ones. American non accented Human even offered great advice!
The process went very smoothly from ordering to delivery. I spent quite a bit of time researching safes and happy I went with sturdy.
Ordering process was spot on. No hassle ordering the safe online but ensured exactly what I wanted by calling. Glad I did! No issues at all, and actually almost convinced me to go the next smaller size down but the 2822 gives me room to grow in. I think it is a thing of beauty. Even better in person. The delivery was painless which did take about 6-8 weeks since ordering. Worth the wait! Got the most popular model non fire lined. Showed up wrapped up nice and tight. There was absolutely no damage to this tank of a safe. The interior setup was nicer than I thought it would be since I read a lot from others of inexpensive materials. I didn’t find that at all, but it is all business (which I truly like). Door seal is nice and tight and I am so glad I did my research and purchased through Sturdy Safes! I would highly recommend them and will purchase again if I need another safe in the future. A fantastic, American-Made product that will outlast me I am sure. Thank you Sturdy Team!
I have purchased a Model 2822 safe with the Most Popular Package and the Fire Liner Option. It was recently delivered and is now installed including bolt-down to the concrete floor of my garage. It arrived at the scheduled time and in perfect condition. The driver was professional and helped me place the safe in my garage at the location I specified. The entire delivery process took about 15 or 20 minutes and went smoothly. I read numerous articles on safe quality, different trade-offs in design, options and materials and also watched numerous videos on YouTube and various supplier web sites. Once I made my decision on what I wanted and needed, I decided on a Sturdy primarily due to the cost/steel thickness benefit that Sturdy offered versus its competitors. One benefit I particularly appreciated was that Sturdy was willing to set the combination I requested in the mechanical dial thereby saving me the trouble once I received it. Overall I am very happy with my decision to purchase a Sturdy Safe and can highly recommend them. The only two issues I have experienced have nothing to do with Sturdy, (1) the safe is already full and (2) the city won't pick up the pallet it was delivered on and I'll have to dispose of it myself
I purchased a Model 2822 4G safe with the Most Popular Package. It was recently delivered and is now installed. It arrived in mint condition and the delivery truck driver was professional and courteous. He arrived within 15 minutes of the promised delivery time, placed the safe in my garage, and was on to his next delivery in approx 40 minutes. I had previously owned a Liberty safe and was going to purchase another one until I decided to do my homework. I read numerous articles on safe quality trade-offs, watched numerous videos on YouTube, and once I became educated on what matters, I quickly narrowed my list to Sturdy and a well regarded competitor. But my mind was made up when I contacted Sturdy. The staff was very knowledgeable, gave me valuable suggestions, and once I made the purchase, they kept me informed on the progress of the safe as it was being built. The delivery occurred just as they said it would and the set up instructions were through and easy to understand. I am very pleased with my decision to purchase a Sturdy Safe.
