Model 3627-6: I purchased this a few months ago and finally have it installed. I'm super happy with the safe. It was a beast to move, but the internet is full of great ideas for moving things of this size. I had some reservations about the mechanical lock before I bought it, but now I'm really happy I went that route. After unlocking it a few times, it's no issue. I also was a bit worried about the drop off from the shipping company, but it went super smoothly. Customer Service was really responsive and helpful with walking me through the options and deciphering the bill when it came. The finish is nice, the door swings smoothly, the tolerances are tight. The only thing I'll nitpick is the hole in the back for the cord. If you use the recommended electrical cord, make sure you put it through before the safe is up against a wall, because the hole is super small. You'll have to do some finagling to get it through. All in all, this safe is awesome, and if I need another one I'll be going with Sturdy Safe again.
I purchased my 3624-72 about 8yrs ago and it works great that security sound when the lock engages still gets me every time. I have people at my house and see the safe it impresses everyone! I did a custom interior, I have several shelves on the door, great way to store ammo and misc accessories. I also have custom rack that my shelves support pistols cases of ammo( I have since gotten ammo cabinet). At over a half ton empty it’s not going anywhere but I did bolt into concrete floor on cinder blocks. The standard exterior finish is extremely durable. The dual lock(rotary w/key and digital) is a great option as when I’m home I usually have rotary open and just use digital quick access, if out of town all locked. I got my safe in early days of my gun hobby, in hindsight get a bigger size than you think you’ll need. Important paperwork, jewelry collectible will fill space too.
Just installed my MODEL 3627-6 heavy metal safe with floor mount steel plate. I am SO impressed with the quality and the service from this company. American made with American steel and American sweat! These safes are the absolute real deal. No Chinese garbage and sheetrock here!
My safe arrived undamaged, wrapped up and protected perfectly. I watched the video on how to remove this safe from a pallet and me two other guys safely took this heavy beast off with no issues.

I just took delivery of my 3627-6 4g heavy metal fire lined Sturdy safe. It arrived in great condition, every thing functions and looks great. The safe movers were surprised at the weight of the safe compared to its size. I asked him why and he said they deliver 600-900 lb safes like this every day, but none this heavy very often. When they finally got it in place, he was taking photos of it for his records. Everyone loved the black/gray finish.
I started researching gun safes months ago, and found Sturdy really stood out among the other numerous brands. Now that i have seen and used the safe, and compared it to the other safes I looked at in various stores and safe showrooms, the superior quality and strength is apparent even to my untrained eye. Some of the more expensive models I looked at were 7 or 10 ga steel, flush mount doors or even composite doors with plenty of room for a pry bar between the door and the jamb, stuff like that. The buying process with Sturdy was smooth and painless, the discounts were great, and the peace of mind I have now with this safe protecting documents and all sorts of other irreplaceable items is wonderful. Well built safe with lots of customization options. I hope to never test my fire lined safe in terms of theft or fire protection, but I am as confident as one can be that it would do well in such a situation. Getting it installed and into it's final location was not easy (total weight is 1300 lbs), but the measurements provided in the description are spot on and it looks just as pictured. The door is well balanced, the materials are extremely solid, and craftsmanship overall is great.
Very happy and worth the investment! It was substantially more than the cheap Chinese safes you see offered elsewhere, but you get what you pay for!
