I love this " little beast" of a safe. This is actually my 4th Sturdy safe. All of them have been firelined with the stainless steel upgrade over the lock.
I wanted a gun safe for my upstairs bedroom. Even with the firelining, there is lots of room in this 2436 for my needs, perfect size. At 450 lbs., I am able to place it anywhere in my old house, and not worry about needing extra support. This is one of the things I like about Sturdy, the weight is all in the steel plate and not in the effective firelineing.
The door fit is excellent, I can barely get a credit card between the jamb and the edge of the door. The bolt mechanism is smooth, satisfying and secure. There is no slop when pushing on the door in a closed position. I very much like the standard finish. The simplicity of the handle makes it look more like a cabinet than a " Safe " which is nice because I placed it out in the open. The interior lining material is soft, neatly placed and the two adjustable shelves fit firmly in place. Nice.
I had this one shipped to Canada using " BorderBuddy " as the customs agent. The 2436 arrived on a nice little pallet precisely on time with no damage. Sturdy's customer service, dealing with Alyssa over phone and e-mail, was absolutely stellar! They made it all happen easily, enjoyably, and stressfree. It was a treat to deal with this company !
There is a reason I keep going back to Sturdy. . Their safes are very well built, extremely solid , simply yet very well designed and their customer service is always exceptional. I cannot recommend the product and the company highly enough! Enjoy!!
Great safe! Perfect size for my available space and collection. Ordering and delivery process was excellent. 6 months same as cash with PayPal.
Ordered mine without fireproofing and a custom size floor mounting plate and was able to move it indoors and downstairs by myself with a rented stair climbing dolly. Likely this is the largest size for a solo move.
Fit and finish on this safe is Awesome and it looks great too!
I am a satisfied customer! 5/5 stars.
This is perfect size for business, on time delivery, good quality and perfect customer service.
Thanks
Just received this little pistol safe and it is a beast. I added 7ga plated to the roof and sides including the door jams with also fire lining and stainless steel plate over the lock box. Shipping weight was around 560Lbs including the 50Lbs pallet. As expected, the safe is as solid as can be and like all Sturdy Safes has extremely tight tolerances with a recessed door and credit card wide door gaps. I received it off the truck on pallet and installed it myself but I have to admit, it was more difficult than I had expected which was likely due to its 3 foot height. This is my third Sturdy Safe so it's fair to say I'm a satisfied customer; they make such great safes!
I love the size, and the sturdiness of this safe. I am very pleased with the quality of the Sturdy Safe I received. Big enough for all of my stuff, yet small enough to hide. You won't go wrong with this safe. After 3 months of research into buying a safe the Sturdy Safe was hands down the best deal and best quality. Thanks.
