Four shelves straight across. No gun rack. All shelves will hold about 150 lbs.
1 top shelf (2 for 6 ft tall safes) that holds about 150 lbs., 1 gun rack, 1 side shelf that can hold about 150 lbs. and 2 ten-inch-wide bottom side shelves that hold up to 40lb each. You are able to remove the side shelves to gain the full gun capacity of the safe.

Holds a lot of guns and allows room for rifles with scopes. This rack is made with more rows for larger size safes.
Get to all your guns with ease without need to take the ones out in the front to get to the ones in the back. This rack is made wider for larger size safes.
Have the potential to store more guns than our Standard Rack. The safe will come with as many rods as our Standard Rack will carry without side shelves.
∙ Every gun rack and shelf is fully adjustable up and down as well as removable.
∙ View the scaled interior size chart for non fire lined safes specifically for the model you are interested in. Fire lined safes have one less row of guns exposed.
The interior is stuffed with 2.5" of 2300° 8 lb. density ceramic wool and 1"- 2”of fiberglass blanket. Then it's compressed by a 16 gauge inside steel liner. If you do not add this option the safe will have no fire insulator.
Hide the safe and protect it from fires too! This heavy duty 2300° ceramic fire blanket goes on the outside of the safe and slows down the heating process for a minimum of 30 minutes. D-Ring strap closure. Only made for sizes 2419, 2822 and 3224.
Stops the dial from spinning. Comes in handy if you intended on randomly locking someone out who has the combination. This is not to be used as a quick access into the safe! Not compatible with electronic locks.
Every Sturdy Safe includes a hard plate, but this upgrade resists diamond/carbide bits and is as hard as ball bearings, slowing locksmith entries. Choose it only if you expect burglars to know advanced locksmith techniques—rare in most cases. Note: voids locksmith entry coverage under warranty.
Store More Gun hand gun hangers available! Store your pistols with 100% use of your shelving space. These are much better than door organizers simply because you do not need to cut down the gun rack or shelving about 4" to accommodate them. They fit as small as .22 caliber, or larger. Vinyl coated and made in the USA!
This option is great for safes located next to an outlet. Just plug it in and forget about it. Dehumidifies the safe by regulating the temperature inside.
This dehumidifier requires more work than the Dri Rod. However, it comes in handy if you are NOT placing the safe next to an outlet. It sucks moisture out of the air in the driest climates. Once indicator says it's wet, you must plug it into an outlet for 10-12 hours till it's dry enough to put back in the safe.
Garage Delivery- The truck driver will go into your garage as long as they are physically capable of it with a pallet jack from the location of the truck. Pallet jacks don't roll well over 1" bumps, gravel, grass, steep inclines or declines. This is not a guaranteed option and it's considered an "Inside Delivery".
Small Truck Request- Most freight trucks have 48ft trailers and you still need to account the tractor (roughly 15ft). Smaller truck requests can possibly get you a 28ft trailer instead of the 48ft. They are still the same height and width wise. If you feel delivery still might be problematic, we can deliver to a mover you recommend who can then bring it to you.
We'll fix it or replace it for free! Includes group 2 mechanical spin dials.

after reviewing all the competition over a year, i always return to sturdy safes. there is just no comparison in this price range. i purchased one of the economical safes. excellent quality. the part that really sold me with this company, is all the torture testing terry does in the videos. he's great. and, you get to talk directly to alyssa when you call.
You know how hard it is to find safe companies that disclose the processes in their manufacturing and go into detail about what makes a safe good?
After the past year we required a safe for various reasons, and so I started off on the hunt. I spent an entire month looking up safes, checking prices and comparisons between brands, construction methods, etc. I also came across many different idiosyncrasies you dont hear about often, like how individual manufacturer's "Fire Ratings" dont have solid grounding in comparisons unless they are certified UL, or that poor quality materials creating a caustic environment for stuff inside the safe, on top of the fact a lot of "Gun Safes" use marketing to sell stuff over actually providing a product of substance. Lets just say it was a rabbit hole I didn't expect to dive into.
After a while I had the impression either we settle for something sub-par, or spend several thousand of dollars out of our budget on something that has decent reputation and a CHANCE to be Made In America.
Fortunately I saw mention of Sturdy Safes in a couple forums and posts. Certainly glad I did.
They're very simple, plain, and no-nonsense, which is exactly what we needed; just a monstrously big steel box with sturdy construction and a good lock without garbage materials or useless frills that we can customize however we want ourselves. Good, old-fashioned American Manufacturing with American materials.
Fantastic people, fantastic product, fantastic company.
OUTSTANDING VALUE
I am beyond impressed with this safe. I started out knowing nothing about safes and I was considering buying a cheap one from a local store. After doing some research, Sturdy Safe seemed to be by far the most safe for the money. If you want fancy leatherette interiors then maybe consider something else but if you want to maximize the amount of steel and protection then this is it. The door gap is tight enough I cannot fit a butter knife in there, much less a crow bar. Sturdy had the safe delivered to me in the exact time frame they said they would and it works perfectly. I would say 9-10 long guns could fit comfortably inside with the rifle rods, but you could cram more in if you needed to. Another plus to Sturdy is you actually get Alyssa (from the YouTube videos) on the phone when you call, not some random customer service person that doesn’t care.
I searched long and hard to find a safe that would fit into a small space. The safe fits perfectly into a corner of the room into a custom built cabinet. I had looked at other gun cabinets, but they were thin steel, flimsy and easily pried opened with a crowbar.
This safe bolted down in a corner hidden enclosed in a cabinet is now very secure. I used three 1/2" x 3" bolts screwed down into the cement foundation.
The electronic lock works well and gives fast access to the contents.
Installation wasn't too bad - I was able to move the 400 pound safe (I am only about 145 pounds) with the help of my 12 year old son from the garage outside the backyard and into the office over two door thresholds which took a little creativity vs. brute strength. Hint: pushing the safe leaning toward me on a dolly over a threshold and then tipping it over the threshold with another person holding it on the other side and then removing the dolly and replacing it on the other side of the safe was the only way we were going to get the safe over a 3" in threshold.
The videos on Sturdy's site were definitely helpful particularly the video on moving the safe off of the pallet.
Great product and great service from a great company!
Great American family. These safes will keep most criminals out. If you position your safe properly and bolt it down your odds are even greater.
My wife and I lived in a state filled with knuckle dragging criminals. We have solid doors and door frames. High security locks. It's all about layering your security as well.
We highly recommend Sturdy Safe product's. We have two of their safes and are very happy with both.
These safes are far superior to the junk made in China.
God bless the owner's of Sturdy Safe. They are great Americans.
